Might be a good game to start a hungry u-21 player or two. Maybe Abdulai or Cotterill in midfield or Lissah at the back.

If Placheta is out - and it seems likely he will be - can we just find someone remotely suited to that position to play there instead of Pato or Lowe or Cooper? Start with Govea or dig that Arsenal youngster out from the back of the sofa and dust him off.

Rushworth

Key Cabango Darling Tymon

Grimes Abdullai

Ronald Cooper Pato

Mykolo

Why not hey!?

This game could have all the hallmarks of Boro away. Long north trip with us being safe now not so much under the scrutiny of playing at home against a full house with a team scrapping for their lives.

Could be a real test of where we are at mentally.

Hopefully we play with intensity and reward the fans travelling.

It looks like he is flying into a leg breaker and none of the players give a shit :ROFLMAO:

Imagine how massive this game would have been if we'd only taken, say, 1 or 2 points from the last 2 games. Doesn't bear thinking about but does put into perspective how close the trapdoor was getting when we'd always had the extra gears at our disposal but were seemingly content to spend most of the season in neutral.

According to the pundits, we have little chance of getting anything at Huddersfield. Mainly because we're on the beach now ( some would say we've been on the beach the whole season) bizarre stat we haven't lost to any of the bottom 11 teams away this season.

John Busby will be the man in charge when Swansea City travel to Huddersfield Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off). It will be the ninth time the Oxfordshire-based official has overseen a Swans match following his promotion to Select Group 2 in the summer of 2021.

The most recent of those matches was a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town, while prior to that he was in charge for the September fixture between the Swans and Millwall at the Den; goals for Jamal Lowe, Matt Grimes and Mykola Kuharevich sealed three points on that latter occasion. Busby began his career as an assistant referee, and served in the EFL for eight years before switching to the whistle and joining the National List of Referees in 2016.

In total this season, he has overseen 30 matches – mostly in the Championship – and has handed out 117 yellow cards and one red. On Saturday, he will be assisted by Richard Wild and Ian Cooper. Matthew Donohue will be the fourth official.

Can't see us getting anything from this one... Huddersfield fighting for their lives and we're on the beach

Will believe it when I see it.
Would love to see some of the fringe / out of favour players get some first team opportunities in these final three games. Get a better idea of what we have to work with when it comes to the summer window.

The Huddersfield fans forum has found us out. "This game should suit the high press style that André likes. Swansea tend to dick around with it at the back so we need to swarm them and force mistakes."

1 - 0 to the Terriers

After 20 minutes when we have had 90% of the ball. 2-0 at the finish after we bring on Yates and have had 98% of the ball (Yates 2 touches; one mis-controlled the other lost immediately when muscled off the ball trying to hold it).
