There's a husband and wife living by me that have a dachshund and a jack russell off lead that seem to think it's acceptable that they both run over and try to take chunks out of my dog (who's 38kg).
When I challenged the lady and politely ask her to keep her dogs under control she threatened to "knock me out".
Safe to say I take him somewhere else for exercise now
But all jokes aside, even the smallest dogs can do a lot of damage if they are not trained/supervised properly Max...

Spot on that. Just the other day I was walking my pooch and a Jack came up to him and started jumping round him. So I less than politely told the dog’s owner, who lives just around the corner, to get his dog under control. He looked a bit shocked but loose dogs really annoy me as my previous one was the victim of a few of unprovoked attacks in his 17 years. The current one doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body but he’s still a juvenile so full of enthusiasm and curiosity. He’d be a right annoyance to other dogs if I let him loose because he’s at the age where he has no fear and thinks every other dog is a potential playmate. So I don’t let him loose where there are other dogs around apart from family dogs we and they all know. We have a tidy size garden so he gets plenty of free running as well as two walks a day. Feckless dog owners grip my shit like very few other things do these days. And there are loads of them.

My Max hated other dogs, had more than the odd conversation with other dog owners, loved humans but hated other dogs and cats.

I've never seen as many aggressive dogs than now Max, a lot of people ended up on furlough and had plenty of time on thier hands, so thought it a good idea to get dogs, most never had experience of owing dogs before, so many dogs, through no fault of thier own were badly trained as pups and also couldn't socialise with other dogs because of social distancing rules, now people have gone back to work and a lot of the animals spend most of the day isolated.
There was a report on the news a couple of weeks ago stating that a record number of dogs have unfortunately been destroyed in the past 12 months and was directly blaming lockdown and owners that were not responsible enough to own a dog...

I'm not really surprised, I remember saying to my Mrs during that time, I wonder what'll happen to those dogs when things get back together, dog's in pubs does my fuking napper in, the Pilot is like a Kennel on times trying to carry drinks when its full is hard enough without having to negotiate you way around dogs, cause some owners are so involved with themselves and yapping that they couldn't give a tuppenny fuk.

The main reason for us to have not got another Dog after ours past, was because of the unfairness to the poor mite being left on his own because of work and other necessities.
I love to have another Dobe, but its totally impractical.

Some time ago , goimg for a quiet run on my local canal path , another ankle biter attacked me , unleashed .

Dog owner had called back his animal , named Tyson . summed it up that experience , he did not give a toss .

Decent dog owners about , yes , but a bad owner with a disregard to that animals potential injury chance , really does make me look twice at dogs these days .

Dachshunds are notorious. Vets students are 'advised' about their aggression. The Corgi can have issues (as with other cattle dogs) as inherently programmed via breeding to 'nip' at legs and ankles. Jacks are jacks-having been owned by one for 17 years .
