Any here? Just bought a Steam Deck because I was told to find a hobby. Ive always had consoles so the PC gaming aspects of it are new to me

Any recommendations? Ill play anything as long as its not an RPG or WoW/Dota type thing

I got a Steam Deck earlier this year. I take it you got the lovely new OLED model? I'm not jealous, honest...

Steam will show you all the games that run well on the Deck, but I recommend looking elsewhere to see if you can get a Steam code for any game you want cheaper. I often buy from here:

I know, it's crazy. I bought about 5 games from them last week. They'll send you a Steam code and how to redeem it in the Steam app (it's simple). Every game I have bought from them works fine, so hopefully will be the same for you if you go for it. Not sure how they do it so cheap, but worst case scenario is you're out £1.63.

Cracking game by the way. I played the Arkham series on the Playstation but quite tempted to play it again on the Deck now you're shown how cheap it is!

I started off as a Dota, Counter Strike and Battlefield kind of guy, but as you get older, Role Play games is where it's at.. the first 3 are strategic, You've got teams to work with.. but with role play, you've got a variety of things you can do.. the top 3 get repetitive.. but role play, you can do 100+ things

I bought both these games about a decade ago for the Playstation but I never got around to playing either of them. The first two Arkhams were immense

Don't mean to pedantic here or even argumentative here, but surely that is not in line with what the person told you.. Already playing consoles, and now you go for hand held consoles?

It's a bit like saying, my hobby is sawing table legs, but now I am sawing chair legs instead. Or have I missed something. ?

The only game I've played the last 10 years or so has been Rocket League pretty much. If you've not tried that on a PC I would mate. I've played on xbox and PS4 and is not the same game as on PC.

Humblebundle has some cracking bundles. Until a couple of years ago I subscribed and got their monthly bundle which has some decent games much cheaper that the retail price. I only stopped that because, like I said I only really play rocket league

What have I missed then? He's already playing consoles, so I can't see a great leap on the hobby perspective, of playing steam devices. And I'll be upfront, I have never seen one in my life, but google told me it was a handheld device.

I have a Playstation 4 but I dont think ive turned it on in about 5 years. I only use one room in my house and a handheld console now allows me to game from it

Amazing Jed, I cant believe the prices on these sites. Ive tried Rocket League on the Playstation many years back but I got hammered by my nephew and lost all heart for it :lol:

Im not very good at driving games and Im not very good at football games, you do the math!
