Nothing against Forest or Cooper. For years Forest acted like a Billy big boIIocks whilst being distinctly below average but give them their dues, they finally got the job done. Cooper too had done nothing but won a kids competition and was treated like some kind of footballing genius, and like many others saw the swans as a stepping stone - it’s what you get when you set yourself up as a club with a reputation willing to give a young inexperienced managers a go. It was never going to work for him and us, two near misses with one of the best squads in the division and half the clubs battening down the hatches due to covid proved it. He and Forest benefited from that experience and it has no bearing on where we are now, as it’s neither of their fault that our board chose a clunker to replace him. Nice to see the wheels fall of at Forest though.

All those years out of the PL doesn't seem to have taught FEC's fans much humility. They've been all over the internet the last few month, condescendingly explaining why they needed so many new players to anyone who expressed the opinion that bringing in 20+ players in one summer may make it difficult to put out a cohesive team. Wonder what their excuse will be if they don't improve?

Things is, they’ve chewed up all the parachutes if they crash and burn. None of those expensive mercenaries will fancy the Championship and their value will plummet. It’s really not the way to do it. They need to stay up now.
