I have no pity for them whatsoever.
New manager is doing well has them in the playoffs and they sack him to bring in Rooney for commercial exposure and/or the fame factor. The fact that he couldn't win in a game of hi/lo as a manager apparently didn't matter until all of a sudden it did.
So Yates came on for 10 minutes then got himself sent off throwing the first punch after being wound up by the defender. Amateur stuff and surely he have to be looking to cut our losses on him in the summer.
Blackburn survive with yet another double from Szmodicz (sp?)
What a season he has had and there will be no way in hell Blackburn keep him this summer.
Possibly to establish any mitigating circumstances such as what might have taken place before the video was being recorded etcetera. Agree though that outside of anything truly exceptional this looks like a slam dunk prosecution case.
Before checking the article and footage I had assumed it was a young player who let his adrenaline get the better of him. But it looked like it was a manager in his bloody 40s! Complete and utter embarrassment and I hope that the FAW and the police throw the book at him to set an example.
Exactly the man knew how to manage and how to get the most out of his side tactically.
Everyone wants to be the new Pep Guardiola but the reality is that as a style of football it is incredibly difficult to implement and without players of exceptional skill and the ability to get the most out...
For all that you can say about Alex Ferguson, old whiskey nose played in a very simple way (attacking wingers with pace and delivery with a clinical striker to put away the chances) but he was superbly effective in getting his team to do it. He also had unparalleled backing from the board, not...
Theres nothing riding on this game for either side.
Would be nice if LW would give the fringe / youth players he might be wanting to run the rule over for next season an opportunity.
It’s the short termism that has blighted the thinking of our board for years. There’s only so many times you can do this sort of thing before your club gets a rep which makes players reluctant to come here
I'm not saying that I am disappointed he is gone, it was apparent fairly soon into his tenure that he wasn't the right fit for us. Doesn't mean that he wouldn't have semi valid reasons for why we didn't perform, it wasn't only about tactics (or his lack of it) but his lacking the personnel that...
A few clubs will definitely not have voted in favour of that - Chelsea in particular I would imagine. I think Todd has spunked something like a billion in two years on 28 players?
A normalized spending cap will definitely hurt some clubs more than others, that said it just means everyone runs...
Agree with all of that. When Duff came in he would have said how he wanted to play and it would have been Coleman's and Watson's collective responsibility to bring in players to cater to his formation.
One of the best things that Williams did was ditching the back 3 idea after 4 or 5 games...
Gutsy performance, the red in my opinion was borderline red but red nonetheless. Lissah let his man get goal side of him and the other defender was not close enough to be able to deny a clear goalscoring opportunity.
Great break away to get the winning goal, our number 7 (not sure who it was...
Ronald often had two or even three people on him every time he got the ball. A few times he passed it to Key looking for a give and go but it never materialized. His flick to key in the 2nd minute was exquisite as was Key's cross, it absolutely deserved a goal at the end of it.
In the second...
