29th March?
Just saw that this is the likely date for grassroots sport to return.
Will this mean a select few can return to watch?

In England. Who knows when restrictions in Wales will ease.

No return to sports stadia till 17 May at the earliest according to Johnson’s “road map”. Which of course doesn’t apply here anyway.

I'm pretty confident in saying that will change. Lessons still not learned from the last 12 months clearly.
Yes, there has to be a roadmap to get lives somewhat back to normal and to allow businesses to re-open, but naming a date 4 months away and nailing your colours to the mast like that just seems stupid.

Especially when the briefing to the press all weekend has been “data not dates”.JackSomething wrote: ↑22 Feb 2021 19:01I'm pretty confident in saying that will change. Lessons still not learned from the last 12 months clearly.

Well we’ve got some kids back in school already. That won’t happen in England for another three weeks. Go Wales.

Re: 29th March?
I'm clearly missing something here. With every vulnerable adult vaccinated by mid june, why the fck wouldn't footy grounds be fully open by August? Even now the data is all positive , why are some doubting that'll change come June ?

It’ll be interesting to see how quick or reluctant people will be to return to really crowded events and areas...

Got to suck and see a bit I think and see how infection rates are when most have been vaccinated.sainthelens wrote: ↑22 Feb 2021 19:09I'm clearly missing something here. Yeah, I suspect pubs, restaurants, cinemas, nightclubs etc will be fairly busy straight away.
It would be interesting to see though if for example they let 60k into a stadium, how many would actually turn up.
I can see there being limited capacities in stadiums through to the end of the year for some reason.

BoJo has quite carefully used the term "not before" when talking dates, to be fairexiledclaseboy wrote: ↑22 Feb 2021 19:02Especially when the briefing to the press all weekend has been “data not dates”.JackSomething wrote: ↑22 Feb 2021 19:01
