What was the name of the small vintage clothes shop just before Picton Arcade in Oxford st?
It was just before Rowberry 's?
Was it Hooper's or Barker's? I bought many a cheap t shirt in there whilst the jeans were very expensive.

Thanks for that R, wow, didn't realise or had forgotten how many shops have come and gone, unbelievable how much the centre has changed. As for the vintage clothes shop, don't recall that one, just asked the missus too, she doesn't recall either, sorry.

I seem to remember a haunt of mine in the 70s lasted a very long time - My Father's Moustache. Is it gone? When? And what about Treasure on Oystermouth Road. Has that given up the ghost?

Tudor’s is still there.
“One of the great attractions of patriotism - it fulfills our worst wishes. In the person of our nation we are able, vicariously, to bully and cheat. Bully and cheat, what's more, with a feeling that we are profoundly virtuous.”

Think it's still there PJ, called Moustache clothing I think. Wasn't treasure in Mumbles on the left going up towards the castle, gone a few years back.

You’re right about Treasure being on Newton Road, it’s Tesco Express now.

Are you thinking of Rodericks? There was a shop in the arcade but I think there was one on Oxford Street at one time.dickythorpe wrote: ↑13 Jan 2021 17:54https://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle ... s-19611968
