This will be one of their best chances. Spain, Italy, Germany, Netherlands all in transition.
Croatia, Belgium and Portugal not the sides they once were either.
France are the best, but even they never convince me when I watch them.
Surely the out of contract players knew their fates before the game yesterday? If so wouldn't it have been nice to give the fans the chance to say goodbye? We did this with Roger if I remember rightly. If Naughton is going for example he deserves better.
Hope he's going to transition into coaching. Not against him being given a new contract but it has to be on a Naughton level chicken feed wage and the club has to realise we still need more / better in central midfield
And frankly, Cullen has a trigger contract but why not try Kuharevych? Again, there were numerous high crosses that Cullen could not get to.
Is the club paying or scared of paying financial penalties? Is this the reason for the haphazard selections?
Yea, I agree
This game annoyed me more than it should.
Millwall obviously, always adds to the atmosphere and then you don't really want to lose to them then (Especially the que sere Germany song)
But what the fuck are we doing playing other teams players, knowing they won't be here next...
Indeed, poor signing all round. At his age there was little chance of a return realistically. The style changes are a mitigating factor but that doesn't hide the fact that he's been completely anonymous in too many games, literally barely touching the ball.
Well it know its installments etc. But Piroe, Whittaker, Obafemi, Latibeaudiere, Benda, Ntcham, Morgan and Martin sales surely total 20mill? Maybe more?
I'm no fan of the club's hierarchy behind the scenes, but these accounts are from before Coleman was here, they don't include any incoming money from last summer (around 20million).
So unfair to pin this on him.
Kaplan, Levein and others though, absolutely.
I think we need a far more solid central midfield to go down that route. When we did go with 2 up front last season we didn't really play out and out wingers.
