I thought she ironed out a lot of problems on the pitch.
Hoovered up most of the decent that normally occurs.
Cleaned up any issues with players shouting at the ref.
Tidied up the problem of holding in the penalty area at corners.
Washing away frivolous penalty appeals.
Putting out the rubbish...
Only trouble is, one of the big differences yesterday was Joe Allen and Naughton. If Joe incurs another injury, Fulton comes back, and naughton’s no spring chicken either. I just wish Oli Cooper could up his game.
If the opposition is pouring through your back 4 and straight onto goal, there are some obvious deficiencies.
1) Your midfield hadn’t done its job.
2) The central defenders are not reading the game in front of them, and not reacting accordingly.
3) The full backs haven’t tracked back quick...
I do agree that whatever combo we use, it’s fraught with danger, as basic defending seems beyond them. Personally I’d pick Darling, he’s no better, but at least he offers us something at corners, not like toblerone head Cabango, and does possess a good shot. Have a look at Humphries next time at...
