Brendan – We Were Outstanding

Brendan Rodgers was in no doubt which word best described the Swans performance against Bolton this afternoon

Rodgers said after the game “Overall, the manner in which we won and the performance was outstanding

“It showed we had learnt from last week, and in the first half we were a fraction away from being outstanding.

“But it was a terrific performance from us against an established side.

“We opened up the pitch, kept the ball and killed the game off, so that was very satisfying from our point of view.

“I thought the pressure would be key and that’s how we approach the game; to go out and win.

“But I still thought that we were the better side today and we could have scored a few more.

“It was a great finish from Danny,” said Brendan. “I don’t think anyone in the stadium doubted him.”

“He’s now adding different things to his game as he gets used to the way we play and his movement was terrific once again.”
