Joe – We Always Knew Danny Would Score

Joe Allen echoed what many were thinking when he said that the squad always backed Danny Graham to be finding the net for the Swans

Graham’s goal against Wolves on Saturday was his third in three successive Premier League games after failing to score in his opening appearances for the club.

But now strikes against Stoke, Norwich and Wolves place Graham’s name in amongst the higher scorers in the division following his club record move from Watford in the summer.

And the other scorer on Saturday – Joe Allen – revealed that the squad always backed Graham to score even during his small lean spell.

Allen told the Western Mail “It’s fantastic for Danny to score again. He’s a natural goalscorer

“People couldn’t believe he didn’t quite find the back of the net in his first few games but we never doubted him.

“We’ve seen him day in, day out, and you can see the way he finishes in training.

“If he takes that on to the pitch then he will get goals this season as long as we keep creating chances for him. His performance was fantastic.

“We feel that if he gets a chance he is going to score.”
