The Swansea City striker has scored just nine times in his spell at the club including goals against both Leicester and Middlesbrough in the last week.
But for one of the prolific scorers in the lower leagues in Spain before his arrival that is nowhere near enough and he admits that it has been playing on his mind.
“I scored lots of goals in Spain but I haven’t scored many in this country. It was playing on my mind.
“I believe I can do well in Britain. The football in this country suits me.
“It’s faster and more physical but that doesn’t bother me.  It’s the way I like to play. I prefer it to Spanish football which is slower and not as passionate.
“I would never have come to Swansea if I didn’t feel I could do well in Britain.
“A lot of Spanish strikers wouldn’t be able to adapt to British football but my style is suited to the game here.”
