Goals from Gorka Pintado and Guillem Bauza gave the Swans the victory they wanted and they could even afford the ‘luxury’ of a missed penalty shortly before Histon pulled a goal back.
And the reward for that victory is a trip to the home of the cup holders a week on Saturday, a tie that Monk – a former Southampton player – is looking forward to
“You want as many home draws as you can but if you’re going to play away you want toย do it at a Premiership side,” he told the official site.
“It’ll be a great experience for the boys, we’re just like everybody else wanting to play against a big side and we’re all certainly looking forward to that.”
