Slade - We're Under No Illusions
29 January 2011
The Leyton Orient manager plotted the downfall of Norwich City last time and is now looking to add the name of Swansea City to the mix when the two sides meet at lunchtime today.
And he admits that it is a big game for his side as they look to progress to the last 16 of the competition.
"It's a big game for us, and we're proud to be in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a chance of getting through to the fifth round." he told the official Leyton Orient website
"Everyone I've spoken to has told me what a good side Swansea are, especially at home, so we know it's going to be tough and we're under no illusions.
"They pass the ball really well and they keep it well too. If you give it away you find yourselves chasing it for the next two or three minutes, so we can't turn the ball over against them because they'll punish you.
"We need to strive for the same performance as we achieved at Norwich, because if we do that it gives us a chance of getting something out of the game.
"The whole team defended well at Norwich and we'll have to do that again on Saturday.
"It's the FA Cup and strange things can happen. We'll hope to raise our game massively and hope to cause an upset.
"We are the underdogs and we know that, but we want to do well."
